Crazy Shirts unveils new collection made with recycled plastic bottles
Aditi Justa | Sep 5 2009

The face of fashion has changed over the years. Fashion today comes draped in the insignia of earth-friendly. Maintaining the trend, Hawaii-based Crazy Shirts has introduced its Eco Board Shorts collection for the eco-conscious. The unique clothing line is made from recycled plastic bottles. The bottles are converted into 100 percent polyester polyethylene teraphthalate ( PET) microfiber, which can be sewn together to make shorts that surfers and skaters would love to flaunt.

The company, which has always been committed to preserving the planet, has revealed its firm belief in reducing, reusing and recycling with the stylish eco-friendly collection. A good seven 16-ounce bottles with the lightweight, quick-drying material featuring Crazy Shirts HydroPrint technology goes into making one exquisite piece.

The design for men features shorts that include mesh side pockets, logo grommets and a drawstring waist. The women’s Eco Board Short is reversible and features a back pocket with logo grommets and an elastic key fob with a split Velcro closure. The men’s shorts will cost $45, while the ones for women and kids are priced at $46 and $29 respectively. You can check out the line and place your order at www.crazyshirts.com. The collection is also available at all Hawaii retail locations.
