Stora Enso’s Nymolla - The greenest paper mill in Sweden
Aditi Justa | Aug 25 2009

While busy printing those favorite pictures or making copies of your important documents, how often do you think of the sources that provide paper? The paper industry is a major source of toxic chemical pollutants, and solid waste that is a threat to the environment. To mitigate the harmful effects of the paper production process, Stora Enso’s Nymolla Mill in southern Sweden has come to the rescue. Hit the jump to look inside the mill.

The Swedish pulp and paper manufacturer uses locally sourced wood for its paper. Nymolla Mill is probably the only one in the world that emits zero carbon dioxide from fossil fuels during the paper-making process. I feel the others in the industry should take inspiration from its green initiatives to make the world a better place to live.
