World’s tallest treehouse made from tons of reclaimed wood
Aditi Justa | Oct 30 2009

If you think you have seen enough treehouses, think again. Here is a treehouse you would have never seen or even thought of, for that matter. Dubbed as the Minister’s Treehouse, this unusual structure visualized by Horace Burgess was made using reclaimed wood. Making an 80-foot-tall white oak tree the foundation, this amazing 100-foot tall structure is said to be the world’s largest treehouse.

The 10-floor Minister’s Treehouse consists of a third-floor basketball-court-and-sanctuary combination, a half-ton chime at the very top of the building on top of a penthouse suite. The spiral stairs, a choir loft, walkways, balconies and countless rooms create an unforgettable and unbelievable look. Constructed using wood that was donated or salvaged from sheds, barns and garages and some 258,000 nails, the building pays its share to the environment. Even the furniture, roofing material, license plate and plexiglass skylights used in the treehouse are all a result of recycled materials.

Combining an organized and well-planned design with a chaotic and muddled look, this bizarre yet breathtaking treehouse is an incredible piece of architecture. Enhancing the beauty some more, Burgess has also designed a garden outside that make a mesmerizing atmosphere with daffodils, irises, narcissus, gladiolas and wild daisies, which are planted to display the word J-E-S-U-S. Could there be any other treehouse as interesting and extraordinary?
